Email Set-Up for Android Devices

Use the settings below to add your Smart Link Solutions email to your Android phone or tablet:

Settings at a Glance

Incoming (IMAP) Server mail.smartlinkhost.com
Outgoing (SMTP) Server mail.smartlinkhost.com
Username [Your full email address]
Password [Your email password]
IMAP Port 993 (SSL/TLS)
SMTP Port 587 (STARTTLS)

 

Note: If SSL/TLS is not available on your device, IMAP may use port 143 with STARTTLS. SMTP should remain 587 with STARTTLS.

Step-by-Step Setup

  1. Open Settings on your Android device and select Accounts.
  2. Tap Add account, then choose Email (or your mail app).
  3. Enter your Email address and Password, then tap Next.
  4. When prompted for account type, choose IMAP.
  5. Enter the Incoming mail settings:
        • Username: your full email address
        • Password: your email password
        • IMAP server:mail.smartlinkhost.com
        • Security type: SSL/TLS
        • Port: 993
  6. Enter the Outgoing mail settings:
    • SMTP server: mail.smartlinkhost.com
    • Security type: STARTTLS (or TLS)
    • Port: 587
    • Require sign-in: enabled
    • Username: your full email address
    • Password: your email password
  7. Choose your sync options (frequency, notifications, etc.). More syncing may use more battery.
  8. Name the account (optional) and tap Done.

Troubleshooting Tips

  • Double-check your email and password (watch for extra spaces).
  • Make sure Require sign-in is enabled for outgoing (SMTP).
  • If you can receive but not send, confirm SMTP port 587 with STARTTLS.
  • If your device can’t connect with SSL/TLS, try IMAP port 143 with STARTTLS.
